Meng Ding Huangya comes from the mist-wrapped Meng Ding Mountain in Sichuan, among the earliest tea-growing sites known in China. High-altitude buds carry a naturally sweet, orchid-like fragrance, and a gentle yellowing rounds the cup with sweet corn and toasted grain. Oxidized near 12 percent from a local cultivar between 800 and 1,200 meters and plucked as one bud and one leaf, it holds a caffeine near 18 milligrams and a soft 7 milligrams of L-theanine. Picked in early spring, its slow mellowing softens the brew without the grassy note of green tea. The mountain's long documented history of cultivation lends the tea considerable prestige.

Meng Ding Huangya comes from the mist-shrouded Meng Ding Mountain in Sichuan province, one of the earliest known tea-growing regions in China. The high-altitude tea garden produces buds with a naturally sweet, orchid-like fragrance. The gentle yellowing process creates a smooth, round cup with sweet corn and toasted grain notes.
