Description

Da Yu Ling is the pinnacle of Taiwanese high-mountain oolong, grown at Taiwan's highest tea gardens between 2,200 and 2,600 meters in the Central Mountain Range. Production is extremely limited due to government land reclamation policies that have reduced the already tiny growing area. The tea's rarity and exceptional quality make it the most sought-after and expensive Taiwanese oolong. The pale jade infusion is ethereally light yet complex, with layered notes of cold orchid, stone fruit, and a crystalline sweetness that lingers for minutes.

Brewing Guide

Temperature 88°C
Steep Time 45s
Water Ratio 20ml/g
Infusions 6x

Recommended vessel: Porcelain gaiwan

Taiwan's rarest oolong deserves careful attention. Brew at 85-90°C to honor its ethereal quality. The leaves are slow to open; patience is rewarded. Pour gently and avoid agitation. The crystalline sweetness lingers for minutes after swallowing. Use the best spring water available.
