Dimbula is one of Sri Lanka's most celebrated high-grown tea districts, situated on the western slopes of the central highlands where the southwest monsoon plays a crucial role in flavor development. During the dry, cool months of January to March, when cold winds sweep across the gardens, Dimbula produces its finest 'seasonal quality' teas with a full body, bright liquor, and jasmine-like fragrance. The combination of altitude, seasonal weather patterns, and colonial-era planting creates a distinct terroir. Dimbula teas are often considered the definitive Ceylon style — clean, crisp, and medium-bodied with a pleasant citrus brightness.
