Indonesia

Indonesia produces tea primarily on the islands of Java and Sumatra, a legacy of Dutch colonial-era plantations. The volcanic soils and tropical climate produce both orthodox and CTC black teas with a light, slightly sweet character. Indonesian green teas and jasmine-scented teas are widely consumed domestically.
