Descrição

Baozhong (also spelled Pouchong) is the lightest oxidized of all oolong teas, sitting at the boundary between green and oolong. Produced primarily in the Pinglin and Wenshan districts near Taipei, its name means 'wrapped kind,' referring to the traditional practice of wrapping the leaves in paper during processing. The loosely twisted leaves brew a pale golden-green liquor with an intensely floral, lily-like fragrance, a smooth, light body, and a clean, sweet finish with virtually no astringency.

Recipiente recomendado: Porcelain gaiwan

As the lightest oolong (12-18% oxidation), Baozhong brews closer to green tea than other oolongs. Use 85°C and slightly longer steeps than rolled oolongs. The loosely twisted leaves open quickly. The intense lily-like floral fragrance is best captured in a covered gaiwan.
