Oxidized modestly near 15 percent from a local cultivar and plucked as one bud and one leaf, the golden liquor carries a sweet, chestnut-like flavor and a smooth, lasting aftertaste, with a caffeine around 20 milligrams. Its gardens sit between 600 and 800 meters, and the leaf is gathered in early spring. The extra yellowing labor keeps it scarce, and it remains among the lesser-known of China's yellow teas.
