Description

Nepali Orthodox tea comes from the misty hills of Ilam, Dhankuta, and Panchthar in eastern Nepal, along the same Himalayan ridge as Darjeeling. Grown at elevations up to 2,200 meters with similar terroir, Nepali teas share Darjeeling's delicate muscatel and floral qualities while developing their own distinctive character. First Flush Nepali teas are light, bright, and intensely aromatic, while Second Flush teas gain muscatel depth and body. Nepal's small-lot, hand-processed production and focus on organic farming have earned these teas increasing recognition in specialty markets worldwide.
