Description

Moonlight White is a distinctive Yunnan white tea from Jinggu and Pu-erh regions, named for the legend that it is picked under moonlight and processed without exposure to sunlight. The finished leaves are strikingly bicolored — silvery-white buds curving alongside dark, inky leaves — resembling a crescent moon. Made from the large-leaf Yunnan varietal, it produces a golden, honeyed infusion with stone fruit, apricot, and wild honey notes that are more robust than typical Fujian white teas. Like Pu-erh, Moonlight White can age and develop complexity over several years.

Guide de brassage

Température 90°C
Temps d'infusion 150s
Ratio eau 75ml/g
Infusions 5x

Contenant recommandé: Porcelain gaiwan

Moonlight White from Yunnan has larger, more robust leaves than Fujian white teas. It handles gongfu-style brewing well with a higher leaf ratio. The stone fruit and honey notes intensify over multiple infusions. Like Pu-erh, aged cakes benefit from higher temperatures.
