À propos

Pinglin in New Taipei City is the traditional center of Baozhong (Pouchong) oolong production, one of the most lightly oxidized oolongs in the world at just 15-20% oxidation. The Wenshan area's heavy rainfall and northeast monsoon exposure create a cool, wet microclimate that produces tender, aromatic leaves. Baozhong is distinctive for its loose, twisted-strip leaf shape rather than the ball-rolled form typical of other Taiwanese oolongs, resulting in a tea that is almost green tea-like in lightness but with a complex floral bouquet of lilac, gardenia, and melon. The Pinglin Tea Museum stands as a testament to the region's deep cultural connection to oolong craftsmanship.
