Descripción

Tamaryokucha ('curly tea') is a relatively uncommon Japanese green tea distinguished by its comma-shaped or curled leaves, in contrast to the needle-shaped leaves of sencha. Produced mainly in Kyushu (Nagasaki, Saga, and Kumamoto prefectures), it skips the final straightening step of sencha processing. The result is a bright, tangy infusion with a berry-like sweetness, citrus undertones, and a lively, refreshing finish that sets it apart from other Japanese greens.
