About

The tea scoop (cha chi or chashaku in Japanese) is used to measure and transfer dry tea leaves from the canister to the brewing vessel. In Chinese gongfu service, a curved bamboo scoop is part of the cha dao (tea tools) set alongside picks and tongs. In Japanese tea ceremony, the chashaku is an elegantly curved bamboo scoop used exclusively for measuring matcha powder.
