About

Lincang is Yunnan's largest tea-producing prefecture by acreage, encompassing the legendary Mengku and Bingdao growing areas. The high-altitude gardens benefit from significant diurnal temperature variation, which concentrates flavor compounds in the leaves. Bingdao village produces some of the most sought-after and expensive Pu-erh teas in the world, known for their cooling sweetness and intense huigan (returning sweetness). Lincang also produces excellent Dianhong black teas with golden tips and malty-sweet character.
