About

Nuwara Eliya is Sri Lanka's highest tea district, where gardens at nearly 2,000 meters produce the most delicate and prized Ceylon teas. The cool temperatures and constant mist slow leaf growth dramatically, concentrating flavor compounds and producing teas with a light, sparkling character often compared to fine champagne. The best Nuwara Eliya teas from the January-March quality season exhibit a distinctive cypress and wintergreen aroma with a crisp, slightly astringent finish. These teas are so delicate that they are rarely blended, instead being sold as single-origin to discerning buyers worldwide.
