Acerca de

The Nilgiri Hills (Blue Mountains) in Tamil Nadu, southern India, produce fragrant, well-balanced teas year-round thanks to dual monsoon seasons from both the southwest and northeast. Tea gardens at elevations above 1,800 meters produce the most sought-after 'frost teas' during the winter months when light frost concentrates sugars and aromatic compounds in the leaves. Nilgiri teas are prized for their bright, brisk character with subtle citrus and floral notes, making them excellent for blending. The region's cooperative model, with smallholder farmers selling to the Coonoor and Kotagiri auctions, makes Nilgiri one of India's most accessible premium tea origins.
