Descripción

Regular tea consumption is associated with reduced risk of cardiovascular disease, including lower incidence of heart attack, stroke, and atherosclerosis. The protective effect is attributed primarily to catechins (especially EGCG) and theaflavins, which improve endothelial function, reduce LDL oxidation, lower blood pressure, and improve cholesterol profiles. Meta-analyses of large-scale epidemiological studies consistently show 10-20% reduction in cardiovascular events among regular tea drinkers (3+ cups daily).
