Beschreibung

Earl Grey is a flavored black tea scented with oil of bergamot, a citrus fruit from Calabria, Italy. Named after Charles Grey, the 2nd Earl Grey and British Prime Minister in the 1830s, it has become one of the world's most beloved tea blends. The classic base uses Chinese Keemun or Ceylon, though modern variations include green tea, oolong, and rooibos versions. Lady Grey adds additional citrus peel.

Brauanleitung

Wasserverhältnis 100ml/g
Aufgüsse 1x

Empfohlenes Gefäß: Ceramic teapot

Earl Grey is a blended, flavored tea best suited to Western-style brewing. Use 95°C for 3-3.5 minutes. Oversteeping extracts bitter tannins that clash with the bergamot. Pairs well with a splash of milk and a slice of lemon (but not both together). The bergamot diminishes quickly on re-steeping.
