Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, produces teas at various elevations that dramatically affect flavor. High-grown teas from Nuwara Eliya are light and fragrant, mid-grown teas from Kandy are full-bodied, and low-grown teas from Ruhuna are strong and rich. Ceylon tea is recognized worldwide for its bright, clean character and citrus notes.
