Description

A flavonol antioxidant found in tea as well as many fruits and vegetables. Tea is one of the most significant dietary sources of quercetin in many populations. Quercetin in tea exists primarily as glycosides (sugar-bound forms) that are hydrolyzed during digestion for absorption. It contributes to tea's color (yellow tones in green and white teas) and acts synergistically with catechins to enhance overall antioxidant protection.
